BENU was created in January 2016 with the aim to ‘make writing instruments and desk accessories for those who prefer bold, bright colours and new designs that are playful, stylish and fun’. The name BENU is inspired by the ancient Egyptian god associated with the sun, creation and rebirth and the Benu bird, which is one of the oldest known names of the phoenix, a majestic creature that is reborn throughout time. BENU pens are truly something different, they have a distinctive design and pronounced character with unique patterns and colour combinations.
To celebrate Cult Pens 20th Birthday Benu have created exquisite hand painted special limited edition fountain pens. Each pen is numbered, e.g. 01/20, and this run has been limited to just 20 pens!
Each pen has been lovingly handmade and hand painted with a series of multicoloured layers. This process takes up to 5 days to complete and results in the pen's impressive depth of colour.
It comes with a #6 Schmidt stainless steel, iridium-tipped nib which is gold-plated and available in a range of sizes.
Refill using international standard sized cartridges or fit a converter to use bottled ink.
Please bear in mind that the photo may differ slightly from the actual item in terms of colour due to the lighting during photo shooting or the monitor's display. Moreover, each of these unique pens is hand painted. This means each pen slightly differs in art work, and as such is one-of-a-kind. Although all defining elements will be present - the fireworks - we unfortunately can’t guarantee their exact position on the barrel. Relying on a handmade process for these gorgeous works of art, rather than machinery production, is what makes each piece truly unique.
