We have noticed over a period of time a shift in standard of The Johnson. We have been loyal guests and have spent thousands of dollars throughout the nearly 8 years of living and staying at The Johnson. The wifi is appalling. Very poor connection and phone calls would drop out. We have persevered with this for a long time and we advised that the wifi is being upgraded. We are not confident that the upgrade is sufficient as had problems connecting. No long have movie channel, Sky, or Foxtel. When Tumbling Stone was a part of the hotel we frequented the restaurant as well as dined with our guests and staff. No suitable restaurant that you can take guests to and still no food options offered by the hotel. As a loyal guest an extension in departure time has not been as accommodating as once was. The sheets were a problem but were finally replaced recently, yet they are not the quality as they once were at 100% cotton. An unpleasant odour emanates from the drains. The reverse cycle air cond vents need regular cleaning. Repairs to some curtains required. Kitchen supplies always are short of something eg carving knife, cutting board, or other. We can see that the maintenance and upkeep of the pool area is not focussed on. The carpets need more attention with cleaning as well as the painting of the doors and corridors. The plants in the pool area need attention as well as the plants on the balcony of the 6th level apartments looking over Boundary Street. Often find something small that has been left behind by previous guests such as a bottle lid or hair pin. There appears to be more dogs than ever and getting into an elevator with one/two or after a dog is not a good experience. Overall we are disappointed to see The Johnson deteriorate to the standard that it is now and can only hope that it does improve to the standing that it does deserve.

We stayed for over a week. Staff was always kind and helpful. The room was always clean and orderly, and it was two blocks from where I was working.

Staff interactions were fantastic. The only minor complaint I had was that the room smelt damp (e.g like the carpet had been wet.) I didn't change rooms; I just opened the doors on the balcony and let some fresh air in. It was one night so no big deal for me. Just thought I would let you know (Room 302).
