Announcing DOPAMINE from Semiotext(e)

In 2024, MIT Press’s long-time distribution partner Semiotext(e) launched new publishing project DOPAMINE, an all-volunteer queer literary organization that aims to elevate LGBTQI+ writing and writers through publishing, readings series, and workshops. Dopamine is dedicated to stories of unvarnished queer existence.
While still a young venture, DOPAMINE’s team will benefit from its partnership with Semiotext(e), which has long stood as the paragon for fearless queer-centric publishing within the community. DOPAMINE hopes to build on Semiotext(e)’s legacy and create a space of its own, publishing four books per year that honor the realities of queer and trans existence under capitalism, patriarchy and, now, fascism.
