Named after the Scottish physician and microbiologist who discovered penicillin, this #Peony cultivar has large (7-8”) flowers in beautiful fuchsia color. Mildly fragrant, #PaeoniaDrAlexanderFleming has long vase life (up to 10 days) when cut at the opening bud stage, also known as the “marshmallow” stage.
We bought and planted the roots from brecks_bulbs in October 2020. They didn’t flower in Spring 2021 and only a few flowers in 2022. Starting from their second spring, they have matured to open dozens of blooms.
