Having worn glasses since the fourth grade for nearsightedness, I have always struggled with my vision. As an adult, I alternated between glasses and contacts, but didn’t have perfect vision with either. With my astigmatism, that made contacts especially challenging. I decided to get Lasik finally at 41. Dr. Ellis and the whole Lasik Plus team was great. It was easy to get assessed, scheduled, and then to get things going on the day of my appointment. The procedure itself was painless, although really, really weird, which I think is true of any Lasik procedure. Dr. Ellis explained what was going on the whole time and made me aware of things that were going to happen before they actually happened. He was very friendly and I felt like I was in good hands. I have gone from 20/400 vision to 20/15. It has now been five days and although I know I am still healing, this has already been absolutely life-changing. I haven’t really had any issues with irritation or blurriness. I tested my night vision last night and although there are some starbursts, driving was not a challenge and I know those will get better. Honestly, this whole thing has been kinda like magic. I should’ve done this 10 years ago. The world is prettier than I thought.

Lasik has opened its doors, and I’ve stepped into a world where the colors are brighter, the lines are sharper, and the future is clearer. Let me entertain you with my celestial journey at Lasik Plus, where Dr. Ellis, the maestro of the laser symphony, performed a surgery
so magnificent, it was as if the stars themselves aligned to give me the gift of perfect vision.
Dr. Gaines, a true visionary in every sense, meticulously prepared my eyes, ensuring they were ready for the transformative odyssey ahead. Her attention to detail, her unwavering dedication, and reassurances— was like a prelude to a grand concerto—set the stage for the brilliance that was to follow.
And the staff! Oh, the staff! They welcomed me as if I were stepping into a sanctuary of sight, their warmth and kindness wrapping around me like a comforting blanket. Every interaction, every gesture, was filled with a genuine desire to make me feel at ease,
to make this journey one of not just sight, but insight.
From the moment I walked into the surgery room, the atmosphere was electric. The strains of "Watermelon Sugar" filled the air, a perfect soundtrack to the dance of the lasers, each note weaving through the process, making the experience almost ethereal. The
precision, the expertise, the seamless execution—it was as if Dr. Ellis was a conductor leading an orchestra of light, creating a masterpiece of vision.
I don’t know why I waited so long to embark on this journey. The clarity, the freedom, the newfound ability to engage fully with my passion for teaching PE at the elementary level—it’s beyond transformative. My world is now a kaleidoscope of possibilities,
each moment a testament to the wonders of modern medicine and the extraordinary talents of Dr. Ellis and Dr. Gaines.
In the grand tapestry of life, this experience stands out as a vibrant, glowing thread. Thank you, Lasik Plus, for giving me the gift of sight, for making me feel like a part of something truly extraordinary. The future is bright, and I’m ready to embrace it
with open eyes and an open heart.

Hey there, vision-seekers! Picture this: a gym full of kids, dodgeballs flying everywhere, and a PE teacher who could barely see past his own nose. That was me, until last Friday when I finally decided to get LASIK surgery at LASIK Plus. And folks, let me tell you, it was a game-changer.
First up, Dr. Ellis. This guy’s got the precision of a quarterback throwing a perfect spiral. He took my 20/200 vision—yep, practically seeing the world through a foggy windshield—and transformed it into a crystal-clear 20/15. Now I can see those sneaky kids trying to cheat during relay races from a mile away!
The staff? They’re like the dream team of eye care. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was the MVP. The receptionist was as welcoming as a touchdown dance, the techs handled the pre-op like seasoned pros, and everyone was so friendly, I almost forgot I was about to have lasers pointed at my eyes. They answered all my questions with the patience of a yoga instructor and the knowledge of a science teacher.
Now, why did I wait so long? Great question. Maybe I thought my glasses gave me that cool, intellectual PE teacher vibe. Turns out, seeing clearly is way cooler. If I’d known it was this easy, I’d have done it ages ago. Think of all the dodgeballs I could’ve dodged!
To my fellow educators and anyone else out there squinting at the chalkboard of life: stop delaying and start seeing. Dr. Ellis and the crew at LASIK Plus are the real deal. My vision is sharper than my students’ excuses now, and I’m ready to tackle the next school year with eagle eyes.
So, if you’re tired of fumbling for your glasses or wrestling with contacts, run—don’t walk—to LASIK Plus. Dr. Ellis will set you straight, and the staff will make you feel like a superstar. Your future self, and your perfectly clear vision, will thank you.
