    Peyton Manning Memorabilia

You could not build a more prototypical quarterback than Peyton Manning. Peyton stood at six feet five inches and a lean 230lbs.

Manning was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Olivia and Archie Manning. Archie was an NFL quarterback himself for 13 years. He was raised around the game of football, and luckily for the rest of the world to watch, he took advantage of that. During his High School days, he was named national Player of the year in 1993, while leading his team to a 34-5 record during his three year stint as the starting quarterback.

After being the mots sought after recruit in the entire country, Manning chose to play at the University of Tennessee for his collegiate ball. Just four games into his freshman year, he was named the starter for the Volunteers and he never looked back. He would become Tennessee’s all time leading passer with more than 11,000 yards while also accumulating 89 touchdowns and winning 39 out of 45 games in which he started—an SEC record for career wins.

Manning was drafter first overall in the 1998 draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He would come out of the gate hot, setting five different rookie records in his first season. He was just starting. Peyton would go on to lead the Colts to the playoffs eleven times in a twelve year span, while nine of those appearances came consecutively. He would go on to bring the Colts their first championship since the 1970 season when he defeated the Chicago Bears in Superbowl XLI.

Following an injury in the 2011 season, the Colts decided to go in a different direction, but that did not stop Peyton’s reign over the league. He would join the Denver Broncos in free agency. Peyton led the Broncos to two Superbowl appearances during his short time there, while winning the second of those Superbowl’s over the Carolina Panthers in Superbowl 50.

Peyton Manning’s list of accomplishments is arguably the most impressive the NFL has ever seen. He holds the NFL record with 5 NFL MVP awards, 14 Pro Bowl appearances, 14 4,000 yards seasons, single season passing yards with 5,477, and single season passing touchdowns with 55. That does not even include the rest of his resume which includes 7 first team all pro appearances and is second all time in career passing yards with 71,940 yards. All of that on top of being a two time Super Bowl winner and Super Bowl MVP leaves Peyton Manning in a class of his own in the realm of NFL history.
